BELA TARA

Medtem ko Zelena Tara uteleša hitro, dinamično sočutno delovanje, Bela Tara izraža globljo umirjenost istega sočutja — obsežno, spokojno in vseprežemajočo.

ABOUT WHITE TARA

Among the vast array of enlightened forms that appear for the benefit of beings, White Tara — known in Tibetan as Drolma Karmo — is particularly important.
She is the embodiment of compassionate activity in its most tender and immediate expression: the activity of protecting life, dispelling illness, and granting longevity to those who aspire to use their precious human existence in the service of the Dharma.
Tara herself is said to have arisen from the tears of Avalokiteśvara, shed at the sight of the boundless suffering of sentient beings. From Avalokiteśvara’s tears of unbearable compassion, she took form, vowing to act swiftly and tirelessly for the liberation of all. Where Green Tara embodies swift, dynamic compassionate action, White Tara expresses the deeper stillness of that same compassion — vast, serene, and all-pervading.
